The question we get most on WhatsApp: "My son is 5 — should I order size 5 or 6?" The size on kids' clothes is an approximate age, but children don't grow at the same pace and styles vary between makers. This guide gives you everything you need to get the size right on the first order.

1. Baby size chart (0–24 months)

Baby sizes are in months, and each size covers a range of height and weight:

  • 0–3M: up to 62 cm, up to about 6 kg.
  • 3–6M: 62–68 cm, 6–8 kg.
  • 6–9M: 68–74 cm, 8–9 kg.
  • 9–12M: 74–80 cm, 9–10.5 kg.
  • 12–18M: 80–86 cm, 10.5–12 kg.
  • 18–24M: 86–92 cm, 12–13.5 kg.
Golden rule for babies: go by height and weight before age — a 3-month-old may wear 3–6M or even 6–9M.

Browse baby clothing and pick the size in the filters.

2. Kids' size chart (2–14 years)

Sizes are in years, with the child's approximate height:

  • 2Y: 86–92 cm.
  • 3Y: 92–98 cm.
  • 4Y: 98–104 cm.
  • 5Y: 104–110 cm.
  • 6Y: 110–116 cm.
  • 8Y: 122–128 cm.
  • 10Y: 134–140 cm.
  • 12Y: 146–152 cm.
  • 14Y: 158–164 cm.

3. How to measure your child at home

  1. 1Height: barefoot, back against a wall; lay a book flat on the head, mark the wall and measure from the floor.
  2. 2Chest: wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest under the arms, without pulling.
  3. 3Waist: around the tummy, just above the belly button.

4. When to size up

  • Your child is between two sizes or tall for their age.
  • Winter pieces worn over other layers (jackets, coats, lined sets).
  • Some Turkish styles run slightly small — we note it on the product page when it applies.
  • You want the piece to last into next season too.

5. Order with confidence

At Kolshzin Fashion you check the pieces — and try them on your child — in front of the courier before paying, and you can exchange the size within 7 days if the item is unworn with its tags. Browse girls' clothing and boys' clothing, or message us on WhatsApp with your child's age and height and we'll suggest the right size.
